We’re Committed to Diversity & Inclusion

You bring out the best in people when you create a community that inspires, respects & includes one another. A Better World starts where everyone can thrive.

Commitments Are More Than Just Words

We built our company on passionate people becoming owners. By creating opportunities for everyone, we’ll continue growing for the next 100+ years.

Crafting Women Leaders

Andrea Quaye and Paula Lindenberg, both VPs of Marketing, with their 2018 Cannes Lions Grand Prix awards.

Today, nearly half of our U.S. breweries and a quarter of our breweries in Argentina, China and Europe are led by female head brewmasters, and they have played a crucial role in brewing some of our best-known products.

It's our ambition to continue to lead the charge for gender equality—creating more opportunities for women in the beer industry.

Equal Work Means Equal Pay

We believe in equal pay for equal work. That is why when President Obama announced the Equal Pay Pledge, our U.S. colleagues at Anheuser-Busch were proud to be the first major brewer to sign.  Meanwhile, in Latin America, Ambev publicly declared their support for the UN Women Compact by signing the CEO Statement of Support for the Women’s Empowerment Principles.

Empowering Caregivers

In May 2018 we launched a new Global Parental Standard in all of the 50+ countries where we operate to provide caregivers with the leave they need to bond with their new children and ease the transition back to work. All primary caregivers — male and female — receive a minimum of 16 weeks of time off at 100% pay. Secondary caregivers receive a minimum of two weeks of time off at 100% pay. This new Standard now exceeds local regulatory requirements in over half of the countries where we operate.

Supporting LGBT Rights

AB InBev colleagues  celebrate Pride in New York City.

We’re committed to growing global pride in the LGBT community around the world. To that end, we’ve supported LGBT rights with a variety of programs and some of our largest brands.

In Brazil, Skol was the first beer brand to sponsor the Brazilian LGBT Pride Parade and has raised awareness of LGBT inclusion through several campaigns to date. In the U.S., Bud Light has long-standing support dating back to its first-ever LGBT-specific print ad in 1995, “Labels Belong on Beer, Not People.”

Anheuser-Busch also received a 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index and was among the HRC Foundation’s 2018 “Best Places to Work,” which rates businesses on how well they support LGBT rights in the workplace and in their local communities.

In Australia, Carlton & United Breweries pledged their support for marriage equality before same-sex marriage legislation passed.

The Skol team celebrates Pride.

Serving Those Who Serve

For over 150 years in the U.S., we’ve been honored to lend our time and raise funds for veterans through organizations like Folds of Honor. A portion of the proceeds from the Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager, created by three of our own veteran brewers, has been donated to Folds of Honor, a nonprofit that provides educational scholarships to military families. As of this year, we’ve raised $14 Million in support of Folds of Honor.
